Going wild with BTS (방탄소년단)

I've been an ARMY for quite sometimes now and all I could say BTS music suits my soul...LOL. I am a HUGE fan of HIP-HOP and ROCK. My teenage days are spent listening to LINKIN PARK, EMINEM, TIGER JK and other HIP-HOP artists (it will take forever to mention..lol).

I like the sense of laid back old school hip-hop and a little dash of rock in music...especially music with good drum beat and bass. Among other K-Pop hip-hop+pop boyband, BTS music arrangements and the bass quality are just awesome. Their music make a good workout tune as well as to be played non-stop in the car. Some of their track are ballads (in which I'm not a fan of) but worth listening to.

Yeah I'm a K-POP fan...and this is the best comeback MV so far by BTS...and I'm soooooo much in love with V (Taehyung). Excuse me while I'm fangirling over these boys...enjoy the video!


Alternative to COUGH SYRUP

I believe many of us having quite a hard time dealing with cough syrup that we get from panel clinic or hospital because for me myself, the taste wasn't something that I fond of. Some of us and especially kids also have a hard time consuming medicines too so here I would like to share some alternative that we can try instead of gulping on the cough syrup.

I didn't simply just share things without trying or experimenting them myself and don't worry because all the things listed are proven (by me..lol) works and some of them were tips told by family members.

1. SCOTT'S EMULSION (ORIGINAL)
This is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I take this in 2 days straight and my coughing stops and the itchiness in my throat also disappears. Recommended dosage is a spoonful, 3 times daily but for me it's enough to be taken in the morning and before bed. It is better if you can take this as daily supplement as it's really good for our immune system against cold and flu.


2. FISHERMAN'S FRIEND (ORIGINAL)
I wasn't a fan of this lozenges at first but after having such a terrible cough and being asked by my brother-in-law to take it (because my cough was quite disturbing), it actually works. This lozenges soothes my throat and also stops the itching. Recommended to try the ORIGINAL flavor because the menthol level wasn't as strong as others.


3. WARM WATER + TAMARIND PASTE + SUGAR 
This is really easy to make, just take a spoonful of tamarind paste, a spoonful of sugar and warm water (200ml) and stir everything until the sugar dissolve. Strain into another cup and drink only the juice. To make it works even better, try to make this with slightly hot water (not boiling hot) and slowly sip it down just like drinking a cup of coffee. The sourness of the tamarind paste and warm water will help soothe the itchy throat. You can drink this once or twice a day.


4. ICE-CREAM
We have always been told not to drink ice or eat ice-cream if we have cough. This is another alternative that I myself have tried and somehow it works! What you have to do is to slowly suck on it...not to bite because by sucking on a popsicle or ice-cream like this will somehow soothes the sore throat. But I believe any form of ice-cream will work just fine, only that you have to drink a lot of water afterwards.


5. COCA-COLA + SALT
I highly doubt it at first, because if by logic it is soda, sweet and cold. Suggested by my brother in law as well, he told me to put a pinch of salt into a glass of coke. As soon as the salt is sprinkled in, the coke will starts to bubble. Let the bubbles reduces and then drink it as usual. There's no need to heat it up (like some other tips for cough) just drink it straight, cold or room temperature are also fine. But for me I just drink it cold..with ice-cubes!

So that's my FIVE alternative to cough syrup...there are other types of home remedies using lime, lemon, honey and ginger or so...but those doesn't really works for me. And oh, be sure you ask for cough antibiotics from your panel or pharmacist because it can somehow cure your cough better & faster.

Back to blogging

Mwahaha...I'm back!


Hey all...it has been years since last time I'm active with this whole blogging thing and it was 2008 to be exact. Back then it wasn't much of a cool blog I have, just a blog in which I post up updates of K-POP idol and such. But this time I'm back with a new blog that will be focused more on reviews and maybe some personal opinions and stuff. just another blog to write a normal daily rant and craps. As you can see, as happy as Bang Yong Guk in the above gif, thats how I feel at the moment to have my blog set up once again (after I deleted it 4 years ago). 

I'm hoping that my blog could somehow become helpful to others as I will be posting reviews and stuff and hopefully you guys can also share good stuff with me too. So, there's not much to say here for the first post this year...I'll be back with more stuff  soon. Till then, HAVE A NICE DAY people!!
